SSPR gave Red Bull "wings" by harnessing event outreach to insert the brand name into a larger cultural movement

THE CHALLENGE

While already an established brand in the food and beverage industry, Red Bull tasked SSPR with the challenge of reaching new consumer audiences and aligning their brand name with pop culture, music and extreme sports.

How we got there

SSPR used Red Bull’s messaging, “Red Bull Gives You Wings,” to support various extreme sporting events including Red Bull Cliff Diving, The Art of Flight Snowboarding and Ball Park Cranks with Jimmy Rollins. By leveraging event outreach and sports media relationships, SSPR secured national coverage on event results and winners.

To reach new consumers in the arts and makers community, SSPR managed the company’s Red Bull Creation 2012 Campaign and fed event participation through placements in regional tech publications and DIY, arts and lifestyle hacker blogs. The PR team’s holistic approach ensured Red Bull became a brand name at the forefront of pop culture, sports and trending music.

THE RESULTS

SSPR brought the Red Bull message to new consumer audiences and supported Red Bull’s expanding brand vision.
