This position supports the social media team in all aspects of client relations including research, strategy, execution and analysis. The person in this role is primarily responsible for providing comprehensive research and analysis on clients, industry, and market to social media team.

Essential Functions

  1. Assists in the execution and implementation of defined social media strategy across a variety of accounts
  2. Researches, curates and creates content for client social media accounts with high level of supervision
  3. Builds reliable network of social media contacts and demonstrates the ability to analyze appropriate social media outlets for clients
  4. Monitors daily social media feeds and interacts/notifies account leads accordingly
  5. Attends conference calls and client meetings as active listener and note taker
  6. Drafts client notes for the account lead to forward onto clients
  7. Assists team with maintaining accurate records on updates for accounts and emails to account lead

 

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree required. Prefer degrees in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field.
  2. Previous internship or relevant work experience managing social media in public relations, journalism, marketing, or related field required.
  3. Previous experience with Photoshop and Illustrator required. Prefer intermediate level of expertise.

Supervisory Responsibility

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

The position is permanent. The position is paid salary and full time work of 40 hours per week with some extended hours expected.

Summary

This position is responsible for leading account teams and managing the daily execution of client activity to support client retention.  This person creates account goals, tracks progress against goals, and collaborates with senior management on strategy for assigned accounts.  The incumbent partners with employees on account assignments and coaches individuals through account obstacles.

  • Collaborate with senior managers to develop short and long-term PR strategy plans, presentations and proposals, focusing on the practical execution of account strategy and anticipated results
  • Serve as clients’ primary day to day contact while independently managing and providing oversight of assigned accounts to effectively manage PR programs from kick off to achieving goals, with the assistance from both junior and senior staff
  • Drive client media relations program by regular engagement with Tier I media, the development of consistent, creative and successful pitches and providing guidance to internal team members in order to secure optimal media coverage results
  • Regularly provide strategy and direction on how to leverage industry breaking news and trends to client and account team based on a deep understanding of your clients’ business
  • Provide support and direction to account teams, serving as a role model and mentor on all professional matters including client service, teamwork, professionalism and quality control to assist Account Directors in the development of goals and performance management for account team reports
  • Effectively triage internal or external account crisis to upper management and leads the problem to resolution
  • Participate in relevant training sessions to actively gain more knowledge and increase skills within client relations as well as within account teams
  • Actively participates or leads in client meetings, provides feedback to clients, and assist in forming strategic direction for client.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree required. Prefer degrees in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  2. Minimum three years of public relations or marketing experience.

 

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will mentor Interns, Assistant Account Executives, and Account Executives, and Senior Account Executives.  No direct supervision of staff.
