Great Out of the Box PR for Taco Bell

More people are watching the world series this year than last year; perhaps they are hungry. Taco Bell’s latest promotion is to give everyone in the US a free taco if a player steals a base in the world series. Genius. Taco Bell also has continued their “Nacho Day” promotion, giving high profile people free nachos after having a bad day. Recent recipients have included Notre Dame Football Coach Charlie Weiss and all fans in South Bend, IN.

It’s these out of the box ideas that can generate enough PR coverage to more than pay for the time and cost involved in the promotion itself.
