Assistant Coordinators 

Great opportunity for new graduates!  We are seeking entry level public relations coordinators to work within our coast-to-coast account teams.  In this role, you will research clients, learn how to create dynamic PR campaigns, and begin building media relationships.  Daily work will include media pitching, administrative support, or helping your account team brainstorm the next great PR idea.  You should have a strong interest in media, storytelling, and research.  You should be a creative thinker with a high degree of initiative and innate curiosity.  Strong writing and communication skills are a must.  As part of our media relations staff, you will juggle multiple tasks throughout the day and pivot quickly.  If you thrive under pressure, possess strong initiative, and love to be challenged, this is a great opportunity for you.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required; prefer degrees in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field. Must have previous internship experience OR minimum one year public relations experience.

In this senior leadership role, you will lead our best and brightest account teams in creating PR campaigns with winning media results. You will work directly as a client day-to-day contact to navigate the client/agency relationship through strategy creation, crisis management and problem resolution. You will have the opportunity work directly with executive leadership in business development as well as lead a variety of organizational initiatives to better serve our clients and staff.

 

We are searching for an experienced PR professional with solid media relationships, demonstrated understanding of a wide variety of clients and industries, and excellent people management skills. This position acts as a mentor, coach, and cheerleader to our staff. We expect a commitment to exceptional results for clients and real-time feedback for our team members.

 

Role Requirements

  • Five years of progressive public relations experience managing diverse clients and accounts. Prefer experience in B2C and B2B. Agency experience required.
  • Two years’ experience in a formal leadership role with people management responsibilities. Prefer experience interviewing, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of client’s business and offer strategic counsel on matters related to client, product, industry, and competitive landscape as well as encourage staff development in these same areas
  • Guide the growth and development of media relations staff through solid talent management skills
  • Create functional areas of account management to allow employees to build knowledge, skills, and abilities across a wide variety of technical PR processes
  • Possess advanced verbal and written communication skills including the ability to resolve conflict, persuade change, and establish professional rapport quickly
  • Operate with limited direction and actively seek feedback from staff, other leaders, and executives daily

In this role, you will lead higher retainer account teams and manage the daily execution of account work.  You will create account goals, track progress, and collaborate with senior leadership on strategy for a variety of account types.  This position is a people manager for junior and mid-level staff.

 

Daily Responsibilities

  • Develop short and long term PR strategy plans, presentations, and proposals with a focus on practical execution of account strategy and results
  • Serve as clients’ primary contact while independently managing and providing oversight on projects and tasks to effectively manage PR campaigns
  • Drive client media relations program by regular engagement with media to secure optimal coverage
  • Support and direct account teams, serving as a role model and mentor in client work, team collaboration, and professionalism
  • Lead and resolve problems on accounts across the agency

This position is responsible for executive and personal support to our CEO, Heather Kelly.  You’ll support Heather’s general awesomeness in all matters personal and professional, keep her on schedule, and fill in the gaps of her work day.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide wide range of personal support including manage expenses, schedule household maintenance, manage vendor services, schedule health appointments for Heather and family, and schedule personal service appointments.
  • Manage personal obligations to friends and family such as obtain gifts, schedule children’s activities, send packages, schedule entertainment tickets, and collaborate with Nanny or Spouse when needed
  • Maintain Outlook calendar with personal and professional appointments.  Schedule all personal and professional appointments.  Provide resources and relevant info for all meetings.
  • Schedule personal and professional travel and secure all documents needs including family needs
  • Assist with preparation for business meetings, training sessions, and other general planning
  • Manage charity responsibilities including board requirements and donation receipts
  • Serve as an event planner for parties including catering, decorations, supplies and other services

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but may substitute four years of professional work in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum one year in an Exec Asst role.  Prefer Personal Executive Assistant experience.
  • Must have personal vehicle and driver’s license.
  • Satisfactory results on background screen, driving record and credit check required.
  • Ability to work some flexible hours and answer calls/text after hours.
