How we got there
SSPR’s campaign hinged on one central mission: to promote the vast industry experience and knowledge of Liaison’s executive team in order to build brand awareness. To cast a wide coverage net, the SSPR team built thought leadership campaigns on industry best practices and technology trends, targeted far-reaching national business media, established a robust news release schedule and promoted data-backed surveys.
In one particular boon, SSPR strategically planned a “State of Compliance” report that both highlighted the compliance benefits of working with Liaison and secured heavy technology press coverage. As the C-suite’s positive reputation grew, so did their relationships with reporters, who started proactively seeking their expert commentary.
This proactive media outreach approach, coupled with inbound requests from reporter relationships established by SSPR, resulted in Liaison’s acquisition by OpenText in 2018. The successful exit was a result of Liaison’s regular presence in the news and was a nod to the years of work building the brand.
