VacationRenter, a vacation rental aggregator matching travelers with the perfect rental, came to SSPR to launch its brand to a national consumer audience

THE CHALLENGE

SSPR was tasked with taking VacationRenter from an unknown brand to a one-stop shop for travelers looking for the best vacation rentals from all the top sites.

How we got there

Launched in May 2018, VacationRenter had no prior media coverage and little-to-no social media presence before beginning a public relations program. SSPR hit the ground running, securing feature stories on the platform and positioning VacationRenter’s experts as thought leaders consumers could look to for travel tips and guidance. The team also elevated VacationRenter’s robust local guide and blog content via social media. Through consistent, engaging social media content, SSPR grew VacationRenter’s brand presence, reaching consumer audiences interested in using the platform.

THE RESULTS

By the end of 2019, SSPR secured close to 100 media placements, including many in national publications like Martha Stewart Living, Bloomberg, USA Today, PopSugar and Business Insider. The team also grew VacationRenter’s website users by 251%. Social media performance improved YoY in 2019 with an increase of 135% in followers and 145% in impressions and engagements across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
