At SSPR, we’re not satisfied with being good at what we do.  There are a lot of good PR people and good PR firms. Instead, we push ourselves to be GREAT.

Today we are celebrating a GREAT accomplishment. Our very own SVP of Media Strategy, Tony Keller, was awarded Gold in the category of Media Relations Professional of the Year for Bulldog Reporter’s Stars of PR awards. This recognition is particularly meaningful because the Stars of PR awards are judged by leading journalists, and as public relations professionals, we strive to engender positive working relationships with members of the media. Candidates for the award were judged on their leadership, integrity, and innovation. I can attest Tony Keller is the embodiment of these characteristics.

Tony has a clear talent for media relations in the tech startup space, and has developed and used his skills at SSPR for more than fifteen years. As you probably know, launching startups is no easy task. Tony takes a client’s clean slate and develops a story around the brand that journalists find compelling. Strategic media placement is critical because so many startups stake their futures on it.

This year, Tony has been instrumental in developing a media strategy division within SSPR to foster and develop this type of intensive media relations around startups, funding announcements, product launches, and all things media. Tony and his team are devoted to strategic, targeted media placements. I couldn’t be more proud of the successes we’ve seen from this team.

Please join me in congratulating Tony on this prestigious award and his continued commitment to developing the SSPR team toward greatness!
